A Sony televsion series for WGN, shot entirely in the Pittsburgh area, this show features a group of magical mountain folk who’s way of life is threatened by the encroaching townsfolk and the coal company. A whole world was created, called Shay Mountain, where the mountain folk lived.
Our work on the show was as the department head for fx makeup, creating the bulk of the blood fx and more complex fx makeups required for the show. We also created a large number of props that were unique to the story world, many foam safety props and a lot of breakaway props.
