Squib FX are a line of air powered devices that create the illusion of a gunshot impact on camera, on stage, or in live performance. Squib FX can be worn on actors and performers or hidden into the set or built into props for create a myriad of blood and gunshot special effects.
Invented by Steve Tolin for Pittsburgh Irish and Classical Theatre’s production of The Lt. of Inishmore, Squib FX create safe and dramatic special effects with rigs that can be reused over and over thousands of times. They are super easy to learn how to use, intuitive to operate, and easy to maintain. They can be hard wired for performer firing or RC remote triggered by stage management or an off camera operator.
